Kenya, Narok, Masai Mara. Two lions fight to the death over a lioness. The one on the left is already badly injured

This lion had been killed in a fight with another male lion. Apparently, he had fought with a male and bloody injuries covered his entire body. It seems that this maneless male had died after he broke his neck. NOTE: as u can see, the mane protects the neck, there r even some tiger fan lying claioming that the lion's mane OPFFERES ZERO PROTECTION IN A FIGHT...

We followed the buzzards to find this in the middle of the West Serengeti Plains. It is a young lion that either was killed by another lion moving into the pride, or died of natural causes.

bob, i would say that lion at the front looks to be 368 lbs...sometimes, there are dwarf`s even amongst such large animals as lions. Tigers as well...in fact, there was a report of a 385 lb siberian tiger male, estimated to be between 8 - 10 years of age, and near 10 ft in length, that was described as being fat and healthy.

No problem man. And, sorry for the late reply. but yes, the difference in the size of those specimens is rather extreme.....some specimens just don`t seen to grow as large as others, but may be just as aggressive, or possibly even more so.
