notice the long, powerful front and hindquarters...the frontal paw is wide in comparison to body size, and most pumas r bigger than most leopards. the biggest puma exceeds the biggest leopards by approx 30-40kg. even female cougars avg 10kg ++ heavier than female leopards. the skull and head is wide, but the neck seems to be thin (almost cheetah-like), the paws and limbs lynx-like in proportions. contrary to popular myth, the jaws of the puma is about the same in power as the leopard, and the puma regularly kills prey larger than leopards, up to 8x its weight. unlike leopards, there were many records of male pumas fighting to the death, and puma attacking and killing wolves and even grizzly bears. the leopard has an inferior fight mentality, due to its living next to deadly lions and tigers, which will pursue and kill them at every chance.

I agree with most of what you say yet while cougars have acctually been known to kill grizzlies, the bear is acctually too large to kill.
