Wedged Tail Eagle wingspans have been witnessed as big as 3+ metres making it the biggest in terms of wingspan. None of the others even come close!! True, But eagles evolved differently it depends on where they live and how they lived. Like the Steller's sea eagle - the Heaviest eagle in the world it lives on a harsh cold environment that it needs to beef up on fat to be able to survive the cold weather. Forest eagle have a short wing span for their body size like the Harpy, Philippine and Crowned eagles they have short but broad wings an adaptation when flying, hunting in steep dense forests for a grater speed and maneuverability in navigating thick forests where they lived. Philippine eagle has the Broadest or largest wing surface-area among all the living eagles. Largest eagles of the world varies in size, length, wing span and weight.

The longest recorded wingspan for the eagles i believe were 1- wedge tailed eagle 2-berkut golden eagle? 2.8m 3-stellars sea eagle probably the longest in average length 4-white tailed sea eagle
Martail eagles often claimed up to 2.6m but no reliable info whatsoever concerning this record

i've tried comparing the American Bald Eagle with the Australian Wedge-Tail Eagle because i saw a post that pitted one against the other. i see that the bald eagle has a size comparison is the same or bigger. same with weight and wingspan. is this true? i know they are both big birds. i've also heard of Bald Eagles going after small dogs, cats, rabbits, even a child before? do either one see ultra violet or infra-red? This American and her Australian friend are trying to one up on each other for which Eagle is the better.

After more research has been done on the illuse harpy eagle, its now considered the biggest and most powerful of them all. If you look at only the females, they are on average bigger in mass than all the other species. Their claws is also much bigger, a true living dinosaur.
